BBC RADIO 2 "FOLK CLUB OF THE YEAR" AWARD 2008

DARTFORD FOLK CLUB was honoured to receive the prestigious "FOLK CLUB OF THE YEAR" award in 2008!!
The trophy was presented to Pam and Alan by Jez Lowe on Monday 4 February 2008 at The Brewery in London.

The event was broadcast on the Mike Harding Show on Wednesday 13th February 2008 but, due to the number of acts appearing it was not possible to broadcast the entire show in one evening. The part of the show, which included Dartford Folk Club's presentation, was broadcast the following Wednesday, 20th February 2008 along with a feature on Jez Lowe.

"There was a great applause from the audience as Pam & Alan made their way to the stage. Alan made a wonderful heartfelt acceptance speech which surpassed many of those made by the professionals!"
